Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting sterilized, stainless-steel needles (that are often as fine as a cat’s whisker) into the body at specific points to relieve pain or treat a disease. The goal is to relieve pain and other symptoms of illness, injury or disease. The treatment is generally pain free.

Practiced in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years, acupuncture is one of the key components of traditional Chinese medicine. Stimulation of specific acupuncture points has been shown to be effective in the treatment of a wide variety of health problems, including:

  • Addiction
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Anxiety
  • Chronic Pain
  • Depression
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches/Migraines
  • Inflammation
  • Insomnia
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Trauma/Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Stress

At CTSA, we believe in the power of integrating acupuncture with traditional mental health services and coaching. Our acupuncturist, Chris Fadgen, L.Ac., works closely with us to provide holistic, integrative care that will not only alleviate symptoms but enhance overall health and well-being.
