To keep the body in good health is a duty. Otherwise, we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.


Maybe you’ve seen the buzz about “walk and talk therapy” lately. It’s a simple approach to therapy that takes clients and therapists out of the office and quite literally puts you on the path to healing. The therapist and client walk together during sessions so engage both physical and mental well-being.

We know that physical activity has a profound impact on mental health. So we’re excited to take this approach to the next level!

Join Michael Senko, LCSW-C, on a weekly running group for adolescents! Our “Run for Mental Health” groups consist of small groups of adolescents (broken out by gender). Michael will focus running sessions on topics related to anxiety, depression, and general school/life stressors for our teens while engaging in physical activity.

For adolescents who are wary of traditional therapy, could benefit from a supportive group environment, or who just want to engage in some form of physical activity with a supportive adult role model, this is the group for them!

Our first running group will launch on July 9th at 7:00 pm at CTSA! Running groups are held from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. The full schedule of group dates are below. Depending on the adolescent’s goals, the running group may culminate in a 5K or similar race event!

Sessions are $20 each, and they are eligible for reimbursement by insurance as part of group therapy (be sure to check with your insurance company for reimbursement rates with out-of-network providers)! Simply email us at to let us know you’re planning to attend!

You can also pay for all 9 sessions up front for $150 to receive a discount!

Group sessions will take place outside, so remember to wear comfortable tennis shoes and gym clothing! Also, be sure to bring along something to stay hydrated!
