I am excited to be joining the team at The Center for Trauma, Stress and Anxiety. As a massage therapist, my main priority is to provide client centered sessions which will benefit each client in an individual way. This means each session will be unique to you and vary according to your needs on a particular day.
Therapeutic massage is a form of bodywork that involves the manipulation of soft tissue through touch and movement to promote a client’s well-being and health. The general benefits of massage therapy include a reduction of stress and anxiety, increased clarity and energy, and a greater sense of the mind-body connection. With regular therapeutic massage, a client may also experience a reduction in chronic pain, better sleep patterns, increased flexibility, improved postural awareness and an overall sense of better health.
I have been thoroughly trained in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology and the practical application of massage at The Potomac Massage Training Institute. I enjoyed my education at PMTI so much that I joined as a staff member after graduation to help teach one of the practical classes.
The primary modalities I use are Swedish and Deep Tissue. Sessions are also informed by my training and introduction to myofascial release, energy balancing and stretching. I am also a certified prenatal massage therapist. I am passionate about continuing my education and look forward to learning additional modalities to help meet my client’s needs.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors. I spend time hiking and kayaking with my husband and our three kids. We love having family time at the beach.
I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your journey towards health and happiness! Thank you for your trust and time.
